Working in war zones gives me a chance to explore the world through photography in a unique way. Raw emotions are on display, often only for a split second, and an image conveys more than many will ever truly experience of that moment in another person's life. The brutality of truth is hard to ignore when we face it in the eyes of another.

I am often not able to carry professional gear with me due security concerns or weight. My hope is that some of my images will show that it is not the equipment that makes a meaningful photograph.
